LOCATION
In the heart of the financial district of Northern Quito, HOSTAL ISLA ISABELA welcomes you to the capital of ECUADOR.
Conveniently located, only a few minutes taxi ride from the airport, HOSTAL ISLA ISABELA is also situated within 20 minutes of the historic, colonial city center built from the 1500’s.
TRANSFERS AND TRANSPORTATION
Since we are so close to the airport, we will gladly pick you up from your international flight and take you there at the moment of departing, at your request, at no cost to you.
From our hostal you are close to public transportation with access to most tourist destinations in the historic city for a US $0.25 fare

Each morning when you rise, you will enjoy a homey breakfast made with delicious bread and freshly squeezed juices from tropical fruits (LOW CARBON FOOTPRINT) that are the pride of ECUADOR and the good news is: it is included in the price of the room.
WHAT TO DO IN THE CITY
There are plenty of activities waiting for you in the Capital City of Ecuador. Museums, theatres, the cable car to the Pichincha, the active volcano that embeds the city, at 4.000 meters height. There are also the Inca ruins in Rumicucho, hiking in the lovely parks, which are very close to our house. Take a stroll on the unforgettable old streets of downtown Quito, and you will feel the history of it’s walls and cobblestone sidewalks with your own feet and through your own eyes. If you prefer, you can take a ride on a colonial style cart that will take you to the most important and beautiful churches of the city, which is on itself an amazing tour, and end up with a cup of real hot cocoa or a "canelazo" in one of the colonial cafes with stunning views of the city.
Shopping is a delight in Quito. Beautiful little stores can be found all over the city or if you prefer, there are several malls that would satisfy the most demanding tastes and all is very close!
Night life in Quito is extraordinary. Exotic bars open their doors for all kinds of tastes and interests. The "Zona Rosa", invites you to mingle with "todo el mundo" and have a very enjoyable night out: dinner, theater, dance, conversation. As much as your imagination tells you.
AND FROM HERE?
If you are more adventurous, Quito is the turning point to go to the striking mountains that raise high up in the skies all around ECUADOR, the mysterious jungle, or the sensuous beaches, including the GALAPAGOS ISLANDS with all their natural beauty. And how about taking a train ride to "La Nariz del Diablo", The Devil's Nose, called like that for its shape and death-defying features.
Would you rather be in urban areas? then go to Cuenca, Guayaquil, Baños, Ibarra, Zaruma, the indian market in Otavalo, Riobamba and many other cities, each with its own charm and its own distinctive attributes. Come and see with your own eyes!
